Is it just me, or zoa prices are going thru the roof. I Have saw £50 a polyp. for alien anti venom.
    And Psychosis £165 a polyp.
    Reefing gone mad imo. :(

There only worth what someone is willing to pay and the availability.

There are zoas around are which are not really for the general reefing community but for the specialized sub section of zoa collectors and like a collection hobby "prized" pieces can fetch eye watering sums.

I Understand what your saying, But the general reef keepers are getting rinsed with the prices asked for. like the ones I mentioned
imo the zoas that's around now. No head of zoa is worth more than £20 a head.

I would imagine the people that have these rarer ones don't think the prices are silly.
Its the same old supply and demand situation .

rare morph / colour will always command high price, just like a rare stamp:

As they become established the prices come down, 2 years ago Rasta easy got £20pp now you see them for as little as £5ppm

Without stating the obvious anything that's imported will increase in price steadily due to Brexit

Very often if there is no id, a reputable seller will give it a name then put their initials next to it to show it source.

Not always, there just zoas they have not seen before and don't match anything obvious.

Morph from what I have seen tend to have similar name

    Utter choas ---morph utterly choas
    Rasta --- Rasta cousins

And other daft names lol, if the morph becomes reproducible the name sticks I would imagine

I find the trick with zoas, and any coral for that matter, is develop a bit of a personal network of reefers. So you can always trade and buy good stuff for next to nothing. I have a group of lads who will give me zoas etc for free if I don't have them. Of course I just repay the favour when I can. Works really well.

Scott, I would be interested in 3 or 4 different zoas, when there available. Only have 3 or 4 and would like to add a few.
