Mine is set at 26 with cooling set at 27, tank is in quite a cool room in the house so in the hot summer never went above
    About 26.3 / 26.4
which is just as well as I don’t have fans or chiller.

I have mine running an STC1000. Set to 26deg with 0.3 deviation for heating and cooling. I think about stepping it up to 27 sometimes

0.3 is only a small swing

Exactly. I wouldn't like my tank to drop a full degree each way. Stability is the key to keeping a healthy reef.

I assume you have the new STC1000 Pro from that photograph. Does that allow the swing to be brought down to 0.3deg?

That might flick the relay a little too often. I'd stick with 0.3. Also, run 2 heaters as redundancy.

As you can see my Seneye has been having a fit recently......unless the fish have been organising Hot Tub sessions!!!

I have a Temp Controller installed that keeps the temp at 24.5 .... Seneye are investigating my weird reporting ..... lets hope they sort it soon.
