Does anybody know what this is please ? Was on the sand bed this morning has 3 legs approx 5-6 inch long doesn't seem bothered by lights etc . It's hitched a ride on some live rock I put in the tank last week and would like to know if it needs removing . I'm cycling the tank at present so no fish or corals in as yet but want to know if this could be / is a threat to either ?
    Much appreciated Phil 20180902_121545.jpg

Looks like a brittle starfish but it’s body looks like the inside is on the outside,, is it alive?

Unless someone says different I think I would get it out.

Yes it's alive and moving about the front of the tank and ive just seen another in a rock at the back of the tank . It doesn't seem to be bothering anything but then again there's nothing in the tank to bother at present .

I've googled it etc and it seems to be a brittle star fish by all accounts . it's just lying on the sand at the front of my tank like it owns the place

Not sure if it's inside out it's head is a light brown colour and lumpy if that's what you mean by inside out ? not sure if i should catch it while I can and just get rid of it ?
