i was reccomendeds 30 ???
Between 24 to 27 C, mines 26.
26C is about right, gives a bit of head room for the summer
Corals start to stress at 30C
Red sea is warmer at 28C
Coral here are Ok to about 32/33C
Currently running at 26C [thumbup1.gif]
mine is usually 25-26
stuff will start to die usually at 30
I run mine between 24 & 25
I rfun at 25-26 wouldnt want it much warmer myself....but to some extent i suppose it depends a bit on what you are keeping
I run mine at 24 when it drops to 23 heater comes on and when it gets to 25 which is very rare the fans come on till it goes down to 24. You get less evaporation when the tank is cooler, also there is more oxygen in cooler water which is better for the fish plus there metabolism is slower so they live longer. chris [001_smile.gif]
I've always run mine @ 25 degrees Celsius, never goes below 25, usually reads 25.5 and hit a maximum of 28 on the hottest day of this summer.
Mines usually around 25.5 - 26.5, the most i got over this summer was 26.8, although i've had my tank for less than a year so found this thread quite interesting to see myself!
24-25 for me ,,,,,pete
Same as others on here 25.5 is general reading, moves between 25 and 26,2
26 for mine, hottest its been is 27.5, never goes below 26 .. seems to work for me
24-26 thru the normal day and up to 28 if we get a summer!!
i keep mine at 26 and it is controlled by a TC-10 unit. Worth its weight in gold in my opinion as the temperature doesn't only moves to a maximum of 26.3 and minimum of 25.8
thanks everybody for your great help 25 -26 it is then [thumbup.gif]
