26C is about right, gives a bit of head room for the summer

Corals start to stress at 30C

Red sea is warmer at 28C

Coral here are Ok to about 32/33C

I run mine at 24 when it drops to 23 heater comes on and when it gets to 25 which is very rare the fans come on till it goes down to 24. You get less evaporation when the tank is cooler, also there is more oxygen in cooler water which is better for the fish plus there metabolism is slower so they live longer. chris [001_smile.gif]

I've always run mine @ 25 degrees Celsius, never goes below 25, usually reads 25.5 and hit a maximum of 28 on the hottest day of this summer.

    Cheers,

Mines usually around 25.5 - 26.5, the most i got over this summer was 26.8, although i've had my tank for less than a year so found this thread quite interesting to see myself!

i keep mine at 26 and it is controlled by a TC-10 unit. Worth its weight in gold in my opinion as the temperature doesn't only moves to a maximum of 26.3 and minimum of 25.8
