What happens if ?

    What effect on my tank will it have if i scrape all the coraline algae off the back of me tank ie- will nitrates go up ect?

    I did 3 sides of my tank the other day, having not done it for months, and no issues whatsoever.

    I prefer to see a clean tank with no coraline looks so much better in pics also

    dont sea urchins eat corraline?

    Yes - I have had an urchin for over a year or so, and there is just too much for him to consume on his own.

    oh i see lol,
    how fast do they eat it? thinking of getting one but not sure if i have enough build up yet

    To be fair urchins eat fairly quick but whilst flicking it off it allows it spread faster
