    Hi All
I will now start my diary after months of lurking on this forum. Firstly I would like to thank everyone on here for all the excellent info and advice, which has been a great help over the last few months.
    Here we go...
I used to keep Tropical fish a few years ago and I recently decided to go Marine. I looked around and eventually found this forum. After a few weeks of reading I decided to purchase a tank. I bought a Juwel Vision 180, with stand, for £110. Anyway enough with the chatter, heres some Pics.

OOps, tried to add a pic but nothing has appeared..LOL...Will try again ..

I think the pics I have are too big to upload...Is there a easy way to convert them to the correct size ?
    Cheers

Your a fast learner Big Thumbs Up

I have one of these tanks, they are great.
What lights are you going to run, the standars T5's the tank comes with or others?

So I set about giving it a good clean and then after some more reading I decided to paint the rear of the tank black.

I did get the standard hood with the tank, but it was week later when I had the tank up and running that I discovered the lights did not work, I will post later on what I replaced them with...

If you click on my signature at the bottom, the first few pics show you me setting my vision 180 up & what I did to the brace bar
BUT it does depend on what lighting you went for

I had already decided that I wanted to have a sump, but after I brought the tank home I realised I would have to modify the stand a bit.

I put a length of angle iron across the top......you can see where I cut slots into the stand for the angle iron to fit..

My reason for doing this was so I could do away with the centre uprights in the stand.

Yeah..I see what ya mean about the brace bar. I still have the brace bar intact on mine. I have not seen a need to alter or change it yet.
