I'm looking for recommendations for a UV unit as I'm getting more and more confused .

I've looked at Vectons, Reeflux, Allpondsolutions (including the external filter as I currently use a Fluval 305 for carbon etc)??????

    Thanks

For what purpose do you want to use UV?

Just to help cleanse the water really. In our last tank we had an outbreak of Brook and then Algae despite good filtration and cleaning etc, just looking for that extra backup I suppose.

If your looking for a uv that will definitely kill whitespot, brook etc forget it. For water clarity and a bit of disease backup troptronic is the only answer, just after water clarity a d&d unit would be fine.
