Tried sticks in the past with no joy , then done the tests and soon worked out why.. _))) _))) _)))

A few new bits of kit added so far and a few more to go so hopefully more success this time. Now, not only are the monti's still alive, but polyping and growing so fingers crossed. Once I get the new lights rigged up I'll try a hysterix first to test the system and then add in a few from there.
A couple of M. digitata and confusa might come before the rest of the twigs as they are normally easier to keep and will give me a good idea if thngs are up to scratch yet....or not !! _))) _))) _))) _)))

:- at the tests side of things, I know just what you mean. [033.gif]

Your RO water alone should help, and the lights definitely.

R O unit and po4 reactor have made a major difference here i think...and there was me a total technophobe as well.. _))) _))) _)))

Wave action may also have made some benefit to them as well as water is getting pushed around a lot better and a lot more randomly around the whole tank now as well

Actually feeling a bit faint if honest tina.. _))) _))) _))) _)))
Only my bank account that is really ill now [cursing.gif] [cursing.gif] [cursing.gif]

By the time I get two twin starters up and going to go along with the new halide i think my account will need a wee holiday before my next target.....a bigger more reliable skimmer !!!!

Vodka has been the only cheap thing here so far,lol...even the zeobak cost a small fortune _))) _)))

Next step is a diy sponge divider in the phosban to add a chamber to add activated carbon to to fluidise this as well !!!

And there was me aiming for an equipment free eco set up again [crying.gif] [crying.gif] [crying.gif] [crying.gif]

Next one after this is a 6x2x2 predator tank for a moray, lions and maybe a grouper or a couple of angels...
Space has been made already and a few bits and bobs gathered up to rig up a retro reverse flow undergravel system just to prove that with fish only, especially the big guys, that sometimes the old ways are still the best !!!

All 24 watts and placed together under reflector at the front of the tank.

New halide on as well so will get pics tomorrow, 6.5 K came with it so will probably change to 14K in time as very yellow

This is the 6.5k .....

Definately see a return to 14k soon though the corals seem to like this bulb, the colours from the 14k is more pleasing to look at
