Yeah..it leaked..they patched it and it still leaks. I think it's a pressure thing. When the tank is full the water is 6" above where the leak appears..and it takes nearly an hour for it to appear and it's so very small that it almost evaporates as soon as it appears with the room temp. It has to be the tiniest of pin holes that with the pressure and volume of water a drip is squeezing through. I need to get it sorted though and I don't want to rely on salt creep sealing it.

You've been talking to me too much! You've put 2 years in to it dude, there was bound to be stumbling blocks along the road and this is just another. If this hobby had no hiccups, falls or losses how boring would it be? You'll sort it dude, you always do

Sorry to hear this mate, what's the plan, are you going to get them back or or try to patch it yourself?

Told you I'll beat you! anyone want to buy a three bed house?

With out going through 229 pages where is the leak in the display tank 6" under the water level? can your drain out those 6" so you keep alot of the presure in the tank when the repair is carried out? rather than draining the whole thing and have no pressure?

Because of the plywood build there is 15" or so either side of the glass. The leak is on the left hand side of the glass around 6" below where the water will sit when the tank is full. It is at the point where the weir joins the front panel. The tank needs to be drained of water so the fibreglass guy can get in.

Well what a kick in the nutts!
Cant believe its still got a leak, glad they coming back sharpish to repair it again. I assume your home insurance company are aware?

Im more surprised that its soo high if it was pressure related and thats not a lot of water pressure. I take it you cant get to the other side?

Sorry to hear that mate, after all the excitement of seeing the lighthouse bulbs you'll be using and the sense of anticipation of seeing it full at last, we can't wait much longer. Chin up sunshine:wink:
