    Cheers Dave,

    to be honest,,i don't know..lol

tank looks stable at the mo, apart from the dead and dieing corals. but simply looks dull,

head no interweb for a few days so not had any emails..digging all roads up round us, and must have dug a cable up [thumbdown.gif]
i can look with phone, but get no notify's

bulbs where replaced just before crimbo, but i think i am going to go through a brown stage, with any corals that do survive.

popped a poly filter in last week, that my best buddy Ged picked up for me, to check for contaminents,
its just turning brown slowly, so only normal organics, for those that don't know poly filter changes colour dependat on polutants..

at a loss really, all params check fine, mag is a little down this week, i think around 1260, but apart from that everything is bang on...

it may be i have cured it, but the already dieing/affected corals will continue to go southward

    cheers
    Nev

i never taught you to drive.....i know i did the birds & bees talk with ya [005.gif]

yer but you took the time to come and give a 2nd opinion on the dullness i have spoke about [thumbup1.gif]

Ste took a bit of time out today whilst he was here, to confirm some of what i thought,,,and added a couple that i hadn't thought

this is the reason i go out of my way to help people as and when i can,,
coz 99% of reefers will help others whenever and however they can [thumbup.gif]

    well....4 weeks on,,,still doesn't look great

done water tests today as follows

    temp - 25c
    sg - 35ppt
    ph - 8.3
    cal - 370
    mag - 1470
    dkh - 7.7
    n03 - 8
    p04 - under 0.03

so i am still at a loss, many have died in the last 8 weeks or so, with many still looking sad, with some turning brown

i have just ordered some KZ products in case its some fundemental elements etc that i am missing

ZEOstart 2, Sponge Power, ZEOfood 7, Amino Acid Concentrate, Coral Snow, Korallen Zucht Activated Carbon,ZEObak

these should be here Tuesday, so i have my fingers crossed they are what the doc has ordered [001_huh.gif]
i really cant see any other way to go at the moment, been really down about it for the last couple of weeks, as most of you will have noticed i havent been around, and was getting close to closing it down.

    Nev

chin up bud, maybe going zeo could be the missing link. Are you planning on using the stones too?
Was thinking of trying zeo myself but am still undecided, was going to run the stones passively in a bag.

    nar,,,just wondering really

i am starting to push towards a mini crash,,when it all started 8+ weeks ago,,and maybe whatever it was has zapped my micro fauna,,so i am looking to get the bac levels re-established, as well as adding some much needed foods to help everything along.

only thing that dissapeared at the beginning was my pencil urchin, and he has never resurfaced, so maybe as he died or was eaten he coulda released some toxins that killed the bac,,,maybe most of them...who knows,,,i am clutching at straws after 8 weeks of pondering ??

I can spare a piece of rock and a cup of sand mate, if you think it will help get some bacteria back. Nothing else i can suggest mate.
Ive been using the bac for a few weeks so might give it a kick start
