Steve's 250 Litre Cube Upgrade

Have just bought a custom made used 250 litre sumped cube, complete with cabinet and enclosed hood for £1 per litre (bargain [emoji2] [emoji4] [emoji2] ).

Just need a return pump and heater then will be ready to get wet and salty

I'm going to transfer as much as possible from my Kent Marine. I have 4x TMC 600's (led light strips) that I will secure to the new tank lid. The top of the tank has sliding glass and is almost fully sealed [emoji2] [emoji4] [emoji2] Re: Fish ......I let the wife choose them all so naturally she thinks they're all awesome [emoji4]

Tank is now wet, just need to fix a leak then will be time to add salt and heat Sand will be next, then ready for the big swap

Am going to have filter sock, plus siporax in compartment one as well as external filter acting as reactor/s. Next compartment will be heater and curve 5 skimmer. Last compartment is dc6000 return pump. Will also add the algae scrubber to the 2nd compartment.

Old tank now transferred to new tank [emoji4] [emoji2] [emoji4]
Hardware all in and inhabitants love their extra room [emoji4]
Bring on the diatoms (new sand/gravel so is bound to happen).
Pistol shrimp is busy digging his new tunnels and loves the TMC medium gravel.

Wow, tank now looks amazing at night. I've got a royal blue led at the back and a Fuji blue at the front [emoji2] [emoji4] [emoji2]

Has made all my coral colours more iridescent (awesome). A shame my camera is s.h.1.t! else I may have been able to capture it.
