Starfish

    Can anybody please tell me what sort of starfish this is. Bought new live rock a few days ago and can only believe it's tagged along. Thanks 20170723_123717.jpg

    Yeh got a few in my tank PITA and they multiply like rabbits.

    Some say yes and some nay. I've read somewhere that it depends on the colour, white = ok and darker (any other than white) = bad.

    They can eat soft corals and zoa's and do become a nuisance eventually as they really do spread el rapido! :w00t: Easily removed off glass and rock etc. with tweezers.....I used to remove them all in my old tank, but thankfully have none in my new setup (never used live rock this time around).

    I Have some in my tank atm. never saw them bother anything. As soon as I started dosing iodine.
    There numbers have gone down :)
    Don't know if that's the reason. lol.

    I had quite a lot,all over the place ,on m zoa too,one day I removed 50ish, so got a harlequin shrimp which has feasted and been returned to lfs.Big Thumbs Up
