Has anyone had success with Pjyama Cardinals in a species tank? I've currently got 3 in a feeder tank to the main aquarium which is unconventional to say the least

It's effectively using the same water as my main marine aquarium in an so that in theory it should have less problems with keeping a critical eye on water quality you can get with nano's. ATM the are getting on fine and I'm wondering about adding some more using the principle used when keeping cichlids of 'overloading' the shoal to keep each other in check.
