snake lock help

i have just been given a snake lock anemone,any idea on there origins,behavior?

not really suitable for a tropical marine tank as they like colder temperatures.

They're native to us so are cold water. Tho some people do keep them in tropical marine tanks.

not advisable in a tropical marine tank if you value your other inhabitants, they can catch shrimps and small fish.
