    Hi

Does anybody have their skimmer on a timer? I have my circulation pumps on timers and was thinking skimmer maybe?

    Cheers, Martin

+1, you need water circulation and water movement 24/7, unless you have a power cut that is and even then after a few hours you would need to gets some manual movement in there for the fish

    Hi recuda,

I used to have a nano (70 litres) in my bedroom and i did turn the skimmer off at night as it used to be too noisy to sleep. I kept my Koralia powerhead and other pump running 24/7 as they were silent.

i ran the aquarium like this for over three years without problem.

    Hope this helps,

    Ant
