Added some cheato, put it in the 3rd chamber after the skimmer. Hopefully it won't drop into the return chamber and end up in the sump. So had to move my UFO light over.

Then realised what an utter mess my wiring was, so had a tidy up

Only 2 rows deep, so may add some more in the future.

FTA as of 13/07/17, need to get that algae under control and scape

looking pretty good there phil. can you not put the cheato before the skimmer as the skimmer will be taking nutrients away from the cheato (think how a triton sump is set up)

Had a bit of a bad time of late. All SPS stripped and frogspawn closed up. I think someone has sprayed something in the front room, despite being reminded regularly not too.

So, added carbon in my reactor, cranked the skimmer up

Grabbed a full set of Salifert test kits and checked water

Ben seems to think it was a nutrient issue, so I've been doing 10l water changes every other day for a week or so.

Rock is covered in some weird algae. Dom at Kracken reckons I need a 3 day blackout, others say it's fine, just new tank syndrome, so grabbed 5 more mex turbos from marine 23

SPS are starting to come back a bit, so I will need to do some fragging this week. Fish seem fine

Lobo is doing well

2017-08-07_11-22-43 by Phil Cookson, on Flickr

Had another play with my sump, moving cheato to 2nd chamber, then skimmer, then reactor in return chamber

Think the tank is still maturing and going through it's various changes that most tanks go through in the early months on first setting up then adding copious amounts of new stock in it so the loads and parameters are adjusting constantly bringing there own side effects as u know buddy your last tank never looked better than when it fully matured out

Aye, think I am just rushing. I need to step back and just let it happen. Going to do twice weekly water changes while it levels out.

Good to see you back on here dude. You got a tank yet?

It's nice to see tanks mature specially via pictures from start to present day.

Keep up the good work.

Yeh its a pain in the bum and they know people need their photo's.

Look for an alternative or can you not sign up with them once, get your pics back and re-add them via another image host.

Pain yes but an option.
