and we have a leak on the return :whistling:

Battered it in silicone and will try again tomorrow.

Moving on, another issue I have is the skimmer. It's just too big to go in the second chamber, so its going to have to go in the 3rd, which means I can't have cheato in there. ****s sake.

you seem to have space to have a bigger sump ? could you not build a bigger one and then you can have space for everything.

After battering the return in silicone, it was time for another wet test

All seemed good, but then quickly realised the DC4000, even on the lowest of settings, was pumping more than the drain could handle and it ended up covering the drain completely, so I will need to swap that for a DC2000

When tidying up, noticed the return was leaking again from the same area. ****s sake. I dont understand as it's all sealed in. But then again, it's not the gratest design

It just seems to "sit" in there and be held in by silicone. I need to pull it off again tonight and see about solvent welding it instead.

No, not had a chance yet really. Might have a go later on.

I nipped to B&Q last night to pick up this

Felt solid as a rock within 30 mins. Will be final testing it this evening

Also, might look to build myself a cheato reactor, which would solve the problem of where to run the cheato in my ****ty sump

Solvent weld worked wonders. All sealed and no leaks

Tested my MP10 I bought from UR, and it's knackered. The clips that hold the propeller on are bust and it simply rattles off when you turn it on. Took i apart to check, and it's rusty inside

Message the seller but he has failed to respond even though he has been logged on. Nice to see the world is still full of *****.

Decided to split the flow from the DC4000 back into the sump. I can then tee this off into a cheato reactor at a later stage

Should be warm and salty this weekend, allowing me to scape in situ and get the sand in
