    Set up Quarentine systems..

How would you plumb overflow and return on a system of 2 tanks side by side ..
One set as Main View tank ..one As Sump ..
I am sure it has been done ..
    Main tank will be a 6 ft I have ..Sump a 4 ft ..

I just don't know / understand How I would Balance return and overflow ..if Side by side ..
    Thanks

you could simply connect them by drilling both and connecting with a piece of piping

As long as the water level in the sump is a little lower than the main display it should work the same as a normal sump. As an example you could have your weir/ drains on the right side feeding your sump tank. Place the return pump at the right side of the sump and have the return exiting the left side of the display. Simple example

If the water had to be the same level you could use a centre baffle so the water travels through the sump , top down view.
