Just wanted to check that I leave both of those washers on, but put loads of HA6 sealant on as well, then hand tighten and leave to set?

Everyone does it different. Bin the nylon washer keep the rubber for outside of tank. Silicone inside and hand tighten. Also I'm pretty sure the nylon one can perish if you ever use ozone. Never put the rubber washer on the inside as it WILL perish

They nylon washer will only break down, if in direct contact with the ozone.

Bin the washers and just seal both sides with HA6 sealent and it won't fail you. I find washers perish over time in saltwater

I put silicon on bothe sides of both the washers, and hand tightened left for a day. To set.

My my thinking was they are totally covered in silicon now
