Hi every since I put my sand dollar in my tank my sand has been spotless ...

But now I'm starting to notice that my sand won't stay anywhere .. Theirs great big clumps on my sand bed also my tang has a few like stringy bits coming off him ( he'll get over it)

How do I solve the problem of the sand any ideas ...

Sand is normally blown around by powerheads; look at changing the direction of yours or maybe even the outlet nozzle for water going back into tank, if there is one.

Turn it down, was at my mates last night and if he runs his gyre at more the 60% (i think that's what he said) it blows the sand about on the opposite end of his 4foot tank

Can you move the gorg a little closer to it?

Then his sand will be dirty..... sounds like a catch 22 lol.

Personally I'd be looking at moving the gorg and turning the flow down other then that it sounds like you will just have to put up with sand being blown around.

You can twist the cages for different flow directions so try twisting clockwise and move the gyre up a bit if you can
