    hello all
    i got the pink caribbean sand , live , only problem is its getting blown all round the tank , its also shifting into the corners and moving it into the sump . then the return pump picks it up and blows it under the reef flush , how can i stop this i don't want to turn the mp40 down as its doing a good job of turning over the water , can i add a heaver sand ?
    cheers OC

    I would have thought you have 3 options:

    1/ Replace with a heavier grade sand, but I would find this a pain if I were you;
    2/ Strategically position the pump so that the force of the water is taken by the rock work / glass, before being forced down on to the sand;
    3/ Turn down the pump flow.

    Your experiences are helping me make my choices on circ pumps and sand for my new setup.
