Salt got damp in new tub

    My dad gave up marines couple of months ago and he gave me his tub of salt it's Red Sea coral pro but it has gone damp and is absolutely solid, is it ok to use? Should I break it all up and mix it about again? It's like a lump of concrete thanks

    should be ok,just break it up prior to mixing,the smaller the better

    I had the same problem with a tub of D+D..........a hammer came in useful!!............been using it for 3 months now with no issues.

    i had that too with a bucket of red sea, think i still have a lump somewhere, think its holding a door open. the kent salt buckets are great as they have a rubber seal, and the lid comes off nicely too. ill show you next time when your over :thumbup1:

    i too had the same problem with d+d tub, even though it was in a plastic bag, but as all above, no problems with it.
