Hi,

i had a visit off Dariusz from AquaforestUK Aquaforest UK a couple of weeks ago , and he left me a couple of samples to try out

i was dubious ( as always ) as i dont really add much to my tank.
he left me these 3 to try, along with some of the probiotic salt ( which mixes very fast indeed ;) )

all i can say is i am, pretty impressed with new growth, feeding response and PE also....it really has come on in the last 3-4 weeks, just look at my tank thread, a lot of people who follow my thread say there has been an improvement

this is just after adding the 6 drops from the bottles, for me this is usually a nightime response only

you can also see the digitata response to the left too :)

also acans, have always been my achilles heel, and i have struggled with getting good inflation..

all i will say is start below the doses, and build up over a week or 2, i dosed full dose first few days,,then had to back it off slightly,,then feed it back on slowly ;)

anyways pics speak for themselves,:)

hoping to try some more of the range soon, to see what else is available

No wonder corals reacted this way. with top class products like these, polyps are active like never before. It's a real feast!

hi,
Thank you all for your questions, I decided to answer using some pictures, generally presenting the reef tanks, which are based on the products Aquaforest. Some tanks are in various stages.
I put also pictures of corals farm by Aquaforest and some pictures of the private galleries.

I hope you will like it.

kH - 8 (Tetra test )
pH - 8 ( Tetra test)
Ca - 410 (salifert)
Mg - 1300 (salifert)
no3 - 0 (salifert)
po4 - 0 (salifert)

I have always problems with reading salifert results so I like to see yours, btw my tests are quite old

Aquaforest company offers its products and services, which are not limited only to the local market. I think the best answer can give the manufacturer.

Looking at Salt, A and V

is this a good start, for a MM system with already low nutrients

Mixed reef SPS with some LPS

currently using KZ Amino SPS and Coral Vitaliser with Pholes Extra

MM and DSB systems. There are no contradictions for the use of Aquaforest Reef Salt with probiotic bacteria. Please refer to the guide Aquaforest page 4 about other systems:

7. Using probiotic method with other methods.

DSB (Deep Sand Bed), Refugium, MM (Miracle Mud) – There are no contraindications and no advantages discovered about combining the two systems together.
If you want to change your method to the probiotic method and have been using one of the above filtration systems you have to allow more time (even a few weeks) before the system starts to function properly.

I would suggest a small just few percent water change with the new salt to prepare the system for the acceptance of probiotic bacteria. It may take a few weeks before the tank reaches full biological filtration. During this time, I do not recommend to use of media for probiotic bacteria, such as offering ProF, ProBioS or ProBioF. The tank needs a bit time. After a few weeks you can already apply with a small doses. It is important not to use VSV. An alternative is ProBioF -very efficient.
CoralA (amino) is a good choice, but I would recommended it to start also dosing coralE instead CoralV.
For start limit to half the dose with twice larger intervals.
Regards
