I'm going to go for the evergrow IT5012 lights. I've already got hanging cables in the ceiling for my old light so going to reuse those.

It should (fingers crossed) be a perfect fit for the tank

I have one of those over my tank and find it brilliant for the price.

That looks stunning! I did say at start of thread I wasn't going to upgrade the lights but the more I looked at LED units the more I thought it will allow we to grow any coral.

The blues and whites are on 70% on the above photo, so lots of room for increasing if needs be.

They had the designer clowns in the shop, and to be honest I just don't like them. Also had some very pale orange ones which I didn't like [emoji23]

I agree there are some ugly clowns,I must admit I like Picasso clowns, but I don't think you can beat a nice pair of Aussie percs.

They are still my favourite marine fish, even they are probably the most common! My last pair I had on my old tank would always go for your hand when you put it in the tank to do any maintenance [emoji23]

The build quality is superb and looks incredibly stylish, I was surprised how light it was compared to my old Aquamedic ocean light!

This was how my tank looked with the old light:

And this is how it looks now:

The light of the tank is quite different to my old lights and I keep thinking I'm seeing disco light effect, not sure if it's something you have to get used too or is it just me?

Was being a bit of a geek last night, waited an hour after lights went out and got a red torch to see what life came in on the small bits of live rock I added. Happy to say there are loads of pods etc. No bristle worms which is a shame as I kinda like those!

Phosphate is still sitting at 0.2-0.3, so not sure whether to add some phosphate remover or leave it for a bit?

Were all geeks then Steve! :)

Bit like my tank at the moment with phosphate, i did have a reactor with rowaphos, but took it out as i want the tank to be a bit simpler for now. So just running the rowa in a bag passively between the baffles.

My it5012 is a little higher up and not noticed any disco ball effect, i am using the settings that can be found on his facebook page.

what settings are you using on the it50xx's? my mate got his yesterday and I'm going round later to cut a baffle out and no doubt help set up the light.

Cheers matey might be a bit high that he's moving from 4 x t5 to led's he's got some zoas and a couple of lps. Might use that as a base but tweet it down so the peak is around 40-50%
