i want to go with dry rock know and putty my aqua scape together before it goes in the tank so i can get the look i want and not have to worry how long the rock is out of water just hard finding dry rock anywhere

The best bet is reef bone and plate from burscough. You need to cure it though for about 6 weeks. I have 4 largish bits here and some smaller bits that are coming out of my tank tomorrow and are off for a power wash if interested

speak to Hazey, his new tank is a similar size to yours (if I remember correctly) and he used all reef bones.

ah right I see, the epo putty will hold it and you can always cover the purple with small bits of rubble stuck into it.

Your welcome to this LR I have FOC mate but it has some byropsis on it and I would certainly recommend killing the LR and anything on it off first.

Glad your sorted mate, nightmare trying to decide what to do isn't it.

Chris- you're more than welcome to use the jet washer if you want for that rock so you can stick it in your new tank when it's ready.

From what I know about it ( which isnt a great deal) but you will have the same issues with pukani rock as you will with bones, there are lots of reports of it leaching high phosphates. IMO you have made the right choice, stick with the plate/bones from Steve
