Powerhead

    hi quick question, and a silly only it may be but I have a old filter from my tropical tank, a stingray 5, can I use this a a back up Powerhead for my marine tank?

    cant see any reason why not

    is it an internal filter ?

    Hi, yes it’s a small internal filter with a small sponge filter and a tiny Carbon chamber inside, I’m guessing I beat remove the carbon but sponge will be ok to leave in

    yeah that would be fine
    but i would recommend regular cleaning
