I know what you mean it could be a valida however I have a colony of that too and the shape is slightly different so believe they are different corals but not 100%.

Just realized how green that Formosa is, doh, had not noticed that as too busy comparing the 2 tri color pieces

Sorry to hear about the rocks messing up. Not good. Hope you get it sorted. My new eel bob has been testing out my structures. Very curious last nice when I was moving my fruitloops that refuse to open. If only I could find there happy place

Just how things go, all fish and corals are ok but looks a bit of a mess. Gonna leave as is until frag tank is set up and then have a bit of a change around.

Corals are a funny thing and sometimes you don't need to move them much to make a difference and :)

Really impressed with how your tank is taking shape, very nice

Oh your right about coral placement for sure. Thanks I am happy with my tank all going well. If I could only find a place my fruitloops were happy

Absolutely, trying to get flow and lighting right can be a nightmare and of course each coral reacts differently which makes it even more confusing.

Gold Aussie torch has been in tank for 3 weeks now, I think, and seems to be happy in between my 2 other torches that both started with 2 and 5 heads and have grown out to give lovely movement in hat part of tank.

    The gold pops under blues

Not seen my yellow tang since yesterday evening which is really unusual.

Might have died but no way of really knowing without taking rock work apart which I am not going to do'

My concern is YT rotting in tank and causing an ammonia spike in tank.

What are my options? I was thinking of testing for ammonia and nitrite daily for next week. Have polyfilter on hand and ample water to make a big water change, if necessary.

    Paul

No harm having a bottle of colony on hand incase you get an ammonia spike and water as you said. Cuc will also make short work of him. Narcarius snails are awesome scavengers

Have quite a few snails, crabs etc and also have a few bristleworms that will certainly help. Also found that Cleaner shrimp are good cuc too. Thanks

I got some bacteria off my my friend in his LFS. He uses it for seeding tanks after he steralises the systems before he gets new fish in. Meant to be good stuff. I need it for the rebuild as i have taken the whole thing down now as it has gone horribly wrong :nea:

    Thanks for the tip.

Had seen from your thread that a few fish had died without reason, really sorry to hear it and so frustrating too as I know how excited you was about the upgrade.
