Nightmare Tank Leak....anything Else I Can Do ?

120 gallon tank with softies and fish sprung a leak today....luckily I was next to it .
I have drained about 30 gallons out and cleaned off old silicone and applied new .
Tank has a built on sump at the back , I have turned off circulation pump and return pump as water level too low and also skimmer .
I have 2 x jebao s going in display tank along with heater .
Put a small powerhead one end of sump for some flow and FSF working other end .
Added fresh carbon just in case .
Cant think of anything else but have a few questions .
Will the water be ok to go back in tank after 48 hours in buckets ?.... no more powerheads .
I assume softies ok for 2 days without light ?
Am I better off not feeding fish till up and running again ?
Anything else ?
Thanks

Sorry to hear about your leak - everyones worse nightmare.

Personally I wouldn't put the same water back in ( after 48 hours) if you have no powerheads to keep it moving , can you mix fresh saltwater and use it as a water change at the same time.

Even when you get it all back together I would keep an eye on it as the silicone on the edge that we see isn't the main seal - its the tiniest bit between the glass panels that's more important.

Softies will be ok without light for a few days and feed minimal - I don't feed mine one day a week but never risked it for 2 - if they are stressed anyway you don't want to upset them anymore by not having food if they aren't used to it

Thought I could run a powerhead in each bucket for 10 mins or so each day .
I am using it as a water change but I have double the amount of water out at least and nothing to make new stuff in .
I have 50 l sealed in an awc so I can mix that easily with built in pump , add it then make a full 50l of fresh .
Will then need to top up out of other buckets though . They are all sealed old salt buckets .

Have you got an air pump and run an airstone in each barrel if it is a must that you use the old water ?? 10 minutes of agitation from a pump wont do a lot as you still have 23 hours 50 minutes of stagnant water
