New Lights

Wasn't happy with the brightness of the light that came with the new set up I bought (Aqua one 300) fluval reef 200. Invested in 2 viparspectra 165 watt led lights. Brightness was something else, so much so that initially I've dropped them down to 30% intensity on both channels. Easy to program with built in timers, the thing that impressed me most was the colours I saw tonight when they switched to blue only. The various polyps I have all looked the same before. Tonight I've seen red, purple, orange in them. Mushrooms showing red rings around there edges. Common clowns appeared more like tomatoes lol. Very pleased with them.

Have you got the WiFi ones or just manual?

Looking at these at the moment myself just not sure whether to take the plunge. Growing any sps?

Mine are just manual with a remote mate. They have built in timers, so they're basically set and forget. They don't have the various moonlight, storm, dusk settings some do, but then they are only £99 a unit. I have mine staggered in 30 min intervals. So 1 blue on, then the other, then one white etc. Same going off. Yes I have lots of sps and they're all doing well. Would you like a picture?

Please mate that would be awesome... I assume your picture will show this but how have you mounted them? Not bothered about thunder storms and storms and dusk settings just want lights to light my tank and grow stuff!

I'll get a picture sorted when I'm home. They come complete with a hanging kit, just need to put 2 fixings in the ceiling. The lights are extremely powerful, my corals are doing great since adding them

Hi Damo. In too late from work to take any decent pics (fish gone to bed) I'll get them up tomorrow.
You'll need to 2 lights on your set up. They're recommended 1 per 2' x 2'
