Well result, tank collected today. Hopefully by weekend it'll be back resized and ready to go. Not that I can do much with it, I'm on strict instructions not to buy anything else this month. What with this tank resize, my new car and paying off the finance in the old car....i cant really argue with her

Tank back tomorrow. Will be at work so they are going to shrink wrap and leave it in back garden. They have left the holes so saved me the cost of drilling new. Putting a weir in free of charge as well. Looking forward to it now

Prob a wee while, barred from spending anymore this month so cant buy pipework and figure it all out. Need to get the joiner in to sort the wall and build a frame as well. Hoping to have it done, wet and cycled by June.........unless I can sell a sh*t load of my gadgets to free up funds lmao

Something has confused me tho.....they put a weir in free if charge for me, but it doesn't have any combs in it, its solid glass nearly right up to the level of the braces so I have no idea how it will work properly, any experts shed any light on it for me

Also is it me or is there no way for me to get the water back into the tank from the smaller inket hole??? Looks like there is no room for me to put any pipework back into the tank

I thought they would make a plastic weir with combs, I could then cut out some of the combs to allow me an outlet.....cant think why they thought a full length glass weir was practical

I dunno mate maybe they are thinking the water runs over it, but with evap it wont be long till the thing runs dry, surely to god there should be holes or something further away from top of tank so that evap wont affect it

I have a glass wier on my tank. No combs. Mine doesn't go as high as yours though.
