Defo mate lps is what I'm aiming for, got a couple of sps from a local reefer to try them out because they were dirt cheap frags. Its a big risk but for the minimal outlay I figured bugger it, lets have a try. I'm also considering buying another led for the tank, cant afford to totally replace the one I have now, but I can afford to add another smaller unit alongside it, meaning my entire tank is getting good light at all times. Few ideas floating around in my head just now, just don't know what to settle on

If I remember right its an evergrow it2040 with the end lenses upgraded to 120 degrees. But it was really only meant for tanks uo to 36" hence the 120 lenses to try and help with the drop off at each side

Ah I see. Can you not swap it for the 2080? Sell for cash and add a bit? I have two 2080s on my 6ft and it only just makes it. I still think width wise it struggles. In terms of light it should be able to cope for all corals. What corals do you fancy?

That's a thought actually. Some nice LPS has to be next on the list, prob I've got is space to put them. Took out a chunk of LR to increase swimming room for the tangs. Left a huge space in the middle for them to roam around in. I think I just need a bigger.....or maybe just a deeper tank lmao

Haha that happens to us all pal! Have a look at trachys or Lobos. Some cool colours. Can be pricey but are spectacular.

Cant wait to get back into the hobby; it will be my forth tank, and Helen is fully on board...which means I better start saving up as she spends all my money on fish and corals.

Haha its a circle you know, we start off small then get the urge to upgrade, then realise after a while its to big and to much work then down grade to something in-between before we settle down. lol.
