Well tomorrow is rescape day. Aquaroche going in, reefbone coming out and going to my mate. Then a trip to fishkeeper Scotland and a shop my mates knows of that I've never been to, so there is a good chance of a few purchases tomorrow me thinks

I'm sure fallow was complete a couple of weeks ago. QT tank still not fully cycled, taking ages, and that's with using some of that bacteria bottled stuff to help it along

Fraz you have to use either fish or a source of ammonia to help the cycle didn't it say on the bottle?

OK so today the prawn shells have floated about, so all the internal meat has rotted away, surely to god this thing has cycled now? Better get the test kits out. Might try my salifert rather than api for a change

Nope, still not cycled. Ammonia is 0, nitrites are 50 and nitrates are 10, taking its sweet time about it

Well I've taken a chance today, bought a pair of clarkii and a scooter blenny. Normally I wouldn't have but I know this shop and know their stock is good and disease free. Was tempted to get a yellow tang as well, but I really want to wait for qt for him

Almost mate almost. Hence today's purchase is a wee risk, but one I was willing to take because I know the livestock is good.

Yes yes I know I know. That's what I was saying, was taking a risk with these 3, I know and trust the LFS I got these from, had I seen them at Dobbies up the road I would have walked away because all their fish have WS. I know its a risk for what would prob been another couple of weeks to wait on the QT cycling, only got myself to blame if it goes titties up again

Is a little bit (quite a lot) mental that pal! You will kick yourself If you get WS again. You are right at the end of the fallow period, but I won't teach you to suck eggs mate.

On another note, how did you go with the rescape?
