I did have some neat round discs in the holes first but they restricted the water flow to much, so the water in the DT flowed over the divider into the rear compartment, this way it stopped all that.
I run the DT water level right up to the top of the divider. The other idea I had for you is were the return outlet is, you could use a double headed flexible head to vary the flow more, I think Sam_ has bought one of these so I am sure he will jump in here.

Make sure you get the right fitting, I went for the cheap black one and it didn't fit properly, would personally for for the blue and orange!

return pump I bought the TMCv2 as it was recommend as being quite...and it does run silent and has been faultless, mine is the 4000 LPH running at full power. I would consider the same for yourself as you can turn the flow down and you may loose a bit due to the twin head outlet.

Yeah. Pump I'll wait till tank is here before buying. Same with skimmer. Don't want to get them now to only find out they won't fit :)

I was going to ask you about the skimmer, I have the bubble magnus 3.5nac it fits nicely into the rear corner and is a great skimmer and fairly quiet too.

So with lr going I the sump and a little in the DT I was thinking of trying some reef bone and epo potty to build some nice structures. Where's the best place to get reef bone?

Wee Google search and I found a place doing it for £6 a kilo. Only really want a few bits to make a structure for corals and to have some hidey holes.
