It's not as the builders have still not been to complete the remedial works. The NHBC have been back on to them for me but they are very good at blagging the NHBC with weather and temp bull****. If they leave it much longer it'll be next year as I'm not prepared to loose the living room and dining room over the summer whilst works are completed.

You will have to phone them everyday and start harassing them until they get fed up and do the job, or you can phone trading standards they will get in touch with them.

This is what the NHBC are supposed to be for but are totally useless. The remedial works are actually dictated by weather and temp as it includes a load of cement so they continue to blag the NHBC that they can't afford to put the scaffolding up just to leave it in situ waiting for good weather.

I called them today, as it's going to be a lovely week, and both the crews are busy with walls that are falling down and as mine isn't a H&S issue we continue to wait.

Well I don't believe it :w00t: Came down today and I found this shell outside the entrance.

This about 2cm accross, so not massive, but is it this that grabbed the goby ?

Fancy some new rock and I've seen some lovely plating in my lfs but it needs curing as currently dry and dead.

Love the Aquaroche but reservations just in case I ever wanted to rescape.

    Re: Mystery Tunnelling ?

I had been spending my entire work day today every few spare mins reading through this thread!! was so excited to see what it was.....crab was a tiny bit disapointing lol!!! never mind though i think i would prefer it a crab than one of those eunice worm things!! just googled them!! im so pleased iv never come across one!! i wouldnt wana even attempt going near the discusting looking thing! why do they even exist!!!
I guess its just bad luck to have one of those come in to your tank??? or does it happen quite commonly??? Pleased you found what it was though!!

    Re: Mystery Tunnelling ?

This critters shell tells me he is the second one I've had in my tank :( The first being caught some while ago as described in the thread.

I know I have a eunice as I've seen the little Bu**er on a night under red lights. It's not bothering my corals so it can stay until upgrade time when I will be smashing the rock to pieces.

The crab has arrived as a hitchiker at some time as they certainly were not added by me. I think it's responsible for the goby but the area where the goby was sucked into the rockwork is 99% out of view so it was impossible to see what had hold of it.

    Re: Mystery Tunnelling ?

Only ever seen 1-2" coming out of the rock so reckon he should be about 6" long in total from what I've been told.

    Still no quote though :(
