Hi I am new to Salty Box, but I understand from Denise that you are all lovely. Even Les. x I have some baby Kudas at the moment and thought you might like to see them. They are on mysis and I have moved a few into grow out tanks. I am for ever looking for little kudas and counting baby seahorses, but they are rather cute.

These are 3 days old the rest are taken today they 6 weeks old in the last picture and some in that tank are 9 weeks old. The rest are in the other tanks, but I could not see them, they hide except when I feed them. Cupboard love eh.

That is where the water exits the tank, I keep it covered with filter wool, so none of the little kudas get stuck in the filter. This tank has two inlets and two outlets, so two filter wools covering. I change the filter wool daily.

You can siphon the cyno off and put a sand sifting star in. I keep some in my seahorse tanks to keep the sand clean.

    Thanks Nellie

Could not see any of the Kudas in the big tank today then after a quick panic saw them in the rock work. Scare me to death. I have 6 new baby dwarfs, and I am amazed at how tightly they hang onto the plants. I had to move one as he was near the top and I was doing the water change but it took quite a lot of annoyance before he swam off. I have a new tank for them, I hope it will be fully cycled soon.

Just an update the kudas are doing very well, and there are 7 baby dwarfs and one a couple of weeks older and they are all fine too.
Now I also have baby erectus. Picture below if I can attache it.

Ah but Reidi are my favourite, i think one little boy is pregnant, saw another pair miss the eggs the other day, such a shame.
They are just coming into breeding now I suppose.

Thanks, I have seen some pictures of your tank on another forum (long while ago) and the tank is beautiful. The amount and colour of the georgonians and the algie is amazing. Do you have photos on here? I would love to see some more pictures of yours.

Today I did a stock take on the dwarfs. I have 8 babies I think, they just keep moving though so it is not easy to keep up with them all.

Thanks Lucycat, I had to look through the pics to see the white and yellow one. They are so small that the photo has picked it up but I had not seen it in real life. I must have a closer look. That is either an adult or one of the first batch, I counted the other day and found I had one more baby than I thought.

Hi all we have been so busy this year building a new kitchen and updating the water and heating system, and the on going power work. We are nearly finished. I thought I would update the baby pictures of the erectus born in January. And the other erectus fry born since then, boy those erectus have been busy.
