    Thanks James.

Yep, a single Aquaray (Marine blue) clipped onto the shelf with the LEDs on on L shaped bracket type thingy.

Your tank is looking awesome Ged, that leather is a big un. DOes your nem not bother any of your surrounding corals?

Cheers Dave, the leather is only about half of what it was before, this time last year. That's what fragging does, but at least it has kept my tank in frags and salt for the last 8 months or so from swapping them.

The nem does to a degree, I had to move a few and the xenia seems to have calmed down a little in the immediate area. I may have to move the rics to the left of it as well though.

Few new corals added the last couple of days.

Thanks to Roger for the candy cane / trumpet (not 100% sure) and the plating, will take some piccies once they start to open up properly.

Thanks to Chris for the swap of the acans.

Thanks to Nev for the corals today.

Nice plating, pinky / red colour
Acro like a greeny / pinky colour
    Some zoas
    Hystrix
    Red Acan

I got this frag off Roger last Friday and he just asked how it is getting on. I am not 100% to be honest. It doesn't seem to have gotten any worse.

The forst picture is last Saturday and the second one today.

Re: One year On - Now Running LED Lighting Only

I think I should say that I gave it to Ged in that condition and it's not deteriorated in his tank!!!

It doesn't look any worse than when I had it mate.......I suspect it might take a while to recover.

TBH, I should have moved it on sooner when I realised it wasn't doing well in my tank.....:sinking:

The Acan colony you got of Chris is FAB.........:eek:k:

I have 2 more that are pretty poor, but they were rescues as well. Although they do look like they are recovering now.

All part of learning I guess.

    Tis isn't it. :yahoo:

I have placed it right behind the toadie in the tank to cover from flow, see how it gets on.

Re: One year On - Now Running LED Lighting Only

The thing is........it's dam difficult to find anywhere in my tank that isn't in too higher a flow or over lit!!!

One of the problems of having a small-ish tank.

Same problem for me mate, I have turned the vortech down to half and I cannot really turn the lights down.

At least the nem likes the flow though.

Re: One year On - Now Running LED Lighting Only

Went to FMFs today to meet up with Durkie to pick up his pico tank. Whilst there I got a peppermint shrimp to put in the tank along with a Harlequin shrimp to sort my asternias out etc

I wasn't going to go for the Harlequin but after seeing T's piccies, they look so cool it had to be done.

Finally made the decision to get rid of all my softies as well. They are great as a n00b and they do look nice, but nowhere near as colourful as LPS or SPS.

Now that my tank seems to be running stable etc, it's time to take the plunge.
