my 3 x 2 x 1.5 now lit by ilumenair

this is my latest tank its 36" x 24" x 18 " a 70l sump. iv got quad t5 lighting with moonlight led's. iv had the tank little under 2 weeks, i did have miracle mud and caulerpa in the sump but it turned asexual and was taken out before it released anything into the tank.

this is my latest purchase (about an hour ago) its not fully opened up yet. there's some red algae on the rock can anyone i.d. it?

thanks kinevil, i know what the coral is theres 2 strips of red algae leaves at the back its kind of hard to see...i should of explained it better

Algae maybe

Scinaia turgida? but thats mainly round the med and cooler waters...

That looks identical to what it is timc. Theres a few pieces of it on the back of the gsp coral. My fox face seems to like it. Is it good algae? Ill do some research later in work at the minute.

well its been a long time since i updated this and quite a bit has changed especially tonight as i picked up some lr from [MENTION=20031]nemo85[/MENTION] got some really nice pieces of rock from him. here are some pictures. comments and criticism welcome also some pictures of the sun coral and the baby suns that have sprouted from no where.

@Sammy8921 you got my thinking yesterday i do have a tank thread not much to see as i dont update it......ill try and update this more

iv decided to try a few sps frags to see how i get on with them iv got a millepora, orange digitata, montipora hirsuta and a callendrum frag.
They seem to be doing ok, how long will it be before i will be able to tell if i can keep sps? days,weeks,months?

See if you get good growth on them.

surviving isnt enough to decide if you can keep sps.

well its been a few weeks since i got my first few sps frags from [MENTION=19052]Sammy8921[/MENTION] and they seem to be growing the montipora hirsuta and callendrum seem to be doing well not sure about the orange digi......heres some pics from today

They look like they are all doing fine.....even the orange digi which has clearly based out and is starting to grow.

these are the easier end of sps to keep so don't rush out and spend £500 on rare natural grown Acroporas etc just yet but it is looking very positive in just a few weeks.

if you want any more sps frags I am drowning in montipora plates, purple digitata and more Lol

im not going to rush out and buy the harder to keep ones i just wanted to try the easier ones and see how i got on. can you post up some pics of the frags you have available and price.....as your frags seem really good

been a while since i updated this, i got my self some led lights last weekend from burscough i decided on the tmc ilumenair and i love it. really easy controls, and the colours it gives off are great and i also changed my foxface for a randalls goby and tiger pistol they have been in a few hours but are still hidden....here are some pictures, i got a bit 'happy' with the camera on my phone haha
some of thee pics arnt the best as my phone dosent like led lighting might have to get a proper camera:

















would anyone be kind enough to try i.d. these sps for me i think the white one with green polyps is some kind of pocillopora



not fully coloured up yet think it may be forest fire?? can also be seen in second pic with another unknown sps
