Most pain ever gotten from doing this hobby

There not that bad I had one as hitchhiker only small didn't hurt me but it did manage to split open the inside of a kinder egg! (Not at the joints in the middle lol)

10" volitans, used to hand feed, dont think i need to say more just that I ended up in A&E - actually gave up the hobby after that, for a while anyhow

I wonder how many hospitals train their staff to cope with "those silly buggers who keep dangerous marine fish" :lol:

a&E didn't have the slightest idea what to do, my arm was paralysed, they rang someone who asked was it similar to a weaver fish (they get a few of these being in scarborough)
which it was - for future reference for anyone who has one, immerse area in as hot a water as you can stand, not scalding obviously

Lionfish or any other weaver fish is definitely off my list! If I ever say we're thinking of getting one, please put us off :lol:
