Used an old Deltec fluidised reactor and some led strips.

I have been thinking about doing something similar. Any reason why you went for cool white MartynIT ?

Havent seen any comparisons but I was thinking of trying some horticultural lights. Think the UFO sump lights use alot of red light

Nice easy build. I would have thought warm white LED's would make the cheato grow even faster.

Could I ask what your nutrient levels at the moment?

Seriously considering converting a big ass chippypah pellet reactor to one of these. Would help keep my now clean sump and skimmer getting manky again!

    Great upgrade...looks great.

I was planning on doing something similar...ive the same reactor but running biopelletts so all is need to buy is the lights and that's roughly about the same cost as another refill of biopelletts...

Biopelletts do their job only thing is that there messy and using algae would be more natural......

Did you??or anyone else run biopelletts and make the transition to a reactor or scrubber and find any problems doing it????
