It's finally happened............The Sulphur Goby has paired up with my Tiger Pistol Shrimp :w00t:. I watched them for 20mins two nights ago, goby was keeping watch whilst the shrimp bulldozed the sand and fixed the entrance to their cave (just wish I'd thought to take a pic, but would have probably spooked them).

Unfortunately they have now both gone into hiding once again :search:and all the wife can say is......"what's the point in buying fish and a shrimp that we can't see".

My tanks becoming more established now as I have copepods all over the glass at the top, but am not tempted to add a mandarin (am content with my invisible fish and my pair of clowns).

One day am hoping to capture my symbiotic relationships on camera

I too love Zoas.....especially all the weird and whacky names (Fruit Loops, Darth Mauls, Reverse Space Monsters, Bam Bams, etc...).

Have learnt some valuable lessons over the years regarding coral selection and tank stock, which is why (for now) I will not be adding any Crabs (don't trust them), nor any softies (chemical warfare) or shrooms (moving stingy things, another reason for not having a nem!) :scared:.

I've left the top of my tank clear for the later addition of some SPS' (Hystrix, Acro's - maybe, monties and some guttatus). But I'll wait for tank to mature a bit more before adding SPS.

Reef-Roids is magic dust :w00t:. Tried it for the first time last night and my corals went crazy (puffed right up).

Also found the first Aiptasia in my tank smiley-sex020, it's a small juvenile on a piece of acan enchinata rock and now I know it's there, it is now doomed :hunter::death:

Checked my params last night.....has been a while :whistling::

Nitrate, Phosphate all Zero, Calc 450, dKh 10.9, PH 7.8 (hence the higher dKh figure). So I now know that my tank is using approx. 1dKh per day which means my corals must be a growing :w00t:.

Just been away for 4 nights and did a 20% water change before we left and upon my return......CYANO! [emoji35]

My last 2 water barrels from our local MHA, so thought I'd test the TDS. Result was over 200 [emoji35] , which will explain why their tanks have it as well! So even though I have a nano tank from now on will be producing my own, with a guaranteed TDS of Zero (ish).
