today is the 2nd hot day in a row..and therefore today will be the day the tank may get too hot, especially after a hot night

keep it below 30 as that is when stuff will die

put a fan blowning at the tank
open more windows to create a flow of air
freeze some ro, so you can put ro cubes into the tank
turn off lights if it hits 29

just a few ways to help with temps..i am sure there are others

hopefully nobody loses any stock :thumbup1:

Thanks for the advice mate. I was just going to post a thread about temps but you beat me to it.

This is the first real hot weather weve had since ive owned my Betta 680 tank and before today the hottest it has been is about 26.3 with lights on. Yeah that was before today. The lights arent even on yet (As below KR93 LEDs) and my tank is at 28

I have since put a decent sized clip on fan over the tank and all windows and doors are open but your right, its gonna be a hot one. May have to turn the lights off if it gets bad. Great advice again mate, I didnt think about the ice cubes................going to make some now

Thanks for that, we have the doors and windows open with a large fan sitting at the back door blowing air round the house, we have ro in the freezer ready, and i'm sat hear watching the temperature like a hawk. And to think I used to pray for weather like this

The tank was already at 29 first thing! Normally at 25/26 first thing. Fans on, lights off and all windows open today!

Ah ok, not sure tbh, you just have to bear in mind the waste water, possibly keep it for watering garden or doing other useful things..

Of course even if youre not on a meter its good to use the waste water. ;-)
