    I believe that as well as being able to step down the voltage by buying the variable power supply, the WP25 now has a revised controller with selectable speeds.

    I found the Sky remote comparison far easier than the cube which gave me a memory lane moment :)

    I can see why Tunze are peed off, these look just as good as the 40 and if anything like the performance great value.

    The powerhead has a slightly audible hum as it changes speed. No one in our house can hear it until you put your ear against the mag mount and then you can pick up the frequency of it, after that it's slightly audible as you know what you're listening for. Is it quiet? I would say that the tank overall is noticeably quieter now than before with the 4 powerheads it had, and the flow is much better. Pretty much silent I'd say.

    You're definitely right about the frequency side of it, sometimes I can't hear it at all depending on I don't know what. Seems more like an electrical noise than a vibration. Mine is the 40 & on 16 volts, I'd say it sounds like a very distant pigeon cooing!!! Really strange because I can't always hear it.
