If u are gonna spend £450 on a Nem u might as well spend £100 or so on a freezer and get vat back and save 20%.

Well apparently red gigs don't exist! Just a myth.

It's just where do I put it. I bought a mini fridge last year and that's in the way! Maybe worth it though.

I've just spent ages reading about haddonis! I was having doubts but think I've convinced myself I still want one. I think the size is going to be the deciding factor on the colour. I could do with it being smaller really to avoid a rescape.

Praying my fem knows better than to get involved with it.

I'll prob move my solo common clown on and get a pair of funky ones. I briefly considered the pair of lightening clowns at Burscough Aq until I read up on them and realised they were super aggressive. Maybe some picassos or whatever Fishpalace breeds for me!

LOL, long way off from breeding clowns let along some designers.

But one day there will be a range of clowns being bred and sold.

There is a guy in Manchester, has a Facebook page oceanwise, who breeds clowns. Not sure what he has but have seen a few buy from him and seem happy. I think he will post too.

I saw him quote 2 juv common clownfish for £8 each plus shipping which is good and even Better if you are local. I know he has a breeding pair of snowflakes as exchanged messages but not sure what stock he has.

I saw a post where someone had bought 20 clowns from him and he was really happy but I have not seen his set up or purchased so only going from other posts.

The good thing is if you pay via PayPal and fish are poor quality r dead you can claim and get money back. Probably helps if you have QT as cannot see what they are really like until out of he bag.

Just seems pretty cruel to me to post them! Suppose majority of other breeds have all be picked from the ocean and send half way across the world.

Luckily, he only lives 15mins from my house. If I go with the plan of swapping my one for two then I'll definitely drop him a message.

    Cheers pal

Let me know how you get on as might pop into see him when I am in Manchester next to see his set up.

It does sound cruel but then again they transport fish half way around world and we take them out of ocean and into glass boxes.

One of the reasons why I want to try breeding, other than another project, is to see if I can breed and sell to local reefers, LFS and also ship around country to reduce the need for wild clowns. Would also like to try Bengali cardinals (which I know is one of your favourite fish, lol). A long way off of getting a couple of pairs of clowns let alone successful breeding!!

    One day
