I have packets of cyano remover if you need one i can get one in the post to you.

As for nutrient issues, something going wrong somewhere. Have you been flushing your ro unit?

I take it you have been busy with the new job?

If i wa closer id offer to try save some of your corals but im not having much luck myself.

Got loads left over, only a small tank so been a couple of weeks and doing another dose tonight.

RO is fine, in terms of zero TDS. I do flush every once in a while but it's an industrial one and pretty good.

Yep, but still get to see it every morning and night.

Cheers, it's not all that bad, just got this hair, and the cyano and other stuff happening.

That's a bummer, get some of that Ultralife Red Slime Remover that Ben is selling. It works brilliantly with no ill heath to your livestock but mainly you'd still need to find out why. Any ideas why?

Nutrients in terms of nitrates and phosphates are always low.
Suspect it's the arse end of Alex and the food incident as the substrate is filthy, as in a stir makes a big big mess. Remember the tank is only 8 months old so should be that messy.
I do not test for contaminants outside of the normal test kit realm, so not too sure but recently just gone from great to pants.

    Got some already. Just dosed.
Maybe as I mentioned to Ged above, anyway. Considering a MP10 on payday, a used one or one of those WP-25 to help with crap export.

    You can't see much.
    It's dead. Completely effing dead.
All ok, but possible spot, walked back into lounge and in the mouth of the plate, which isn't looking great either.
Well, good news is that I still have 3 heads of Duncan's.

I added an air line to my tank whilst dosing it just in case due to the med taking up the O2 from the tank even though I have my skimmer running

Oh dear mate. Not good. I know how you feel.

Good idea to add some flow and check your lighting schedule, might be worth dropping to 6/8 hours.

Also - don't need to remind you but will do anyways - don't run carbon when dose red slime remover.

And run Po4 remover to mop up the nutrients that are going to be floating around once that red sh!t is nuked. Trim and turn cheato regular to promote grow.

Lighting was reduced to 6hrs, no difference. Also changed intensity.
The Picillipora doesn't like the light. It'll be sorted.

    Hiya,
    Last check was:
    Ca: 440
    Mg: 1450
    Kh: 10

Hold that thought, might have to borrow that. Looking to use some kind of similar kit I have here but if that fails, I'll let you know. I think a good clean would help a lot, but will probably have to feed the tank quite a bit to try to compensate for the loss of muck.

Muck is not always "good food"

I run UNLS and feed small doses of Amino Acid and Coral food

    HI Gary,
Cheers and yep appreciate that. Tank is looking same as really, but not done much to it over the last few days.
I am currently dosing small amounts of Amino every 4-5 days, just before a feed.

Last couple of days have seen some burning off with the Algae. Sand is mucky still but not touched that. Some photos, sorry about the colours, must be a location thing.
