I have some Lugols is all. Im thinking if i can get it to you could dip it but you would still need to stop the clowns. Like Roger says, covering the coral may help but removing it or the fish would be better

He could have some of mine if I could get to the stems........the way it's grown, it's so tightly clumped I cannot get to it.

Nah, sadly not. Ok, that's based on exerience. Spent quite a bit of time doing dips with Iodine, differing percentages and came to the conclusion that once you see BJD, it's to late. You can at times cut if off and be lucky but considering this has been cut about 5-6 times I think I need to write it off.

So, the Duncan went, followed by a torch (one of 2 heads)
I changed the flow in the tank soon afterwards and changed the Koralia 1 for a 6015.
SPS frags still alive so that's good.
Now got some algae all over the tank. Grrrrr!
Will get some photos up soon, got inlaws over so will probably be after the weekend or maybe some phone piccies.

Other than the above, tank is doing well and no change other than algae for the last 2 weeks.

Sounds like your not having much luck with nutrienrs at the moment.

How about you do some of those erm.......what do you call them, bet you cant remember?!

    Ill give you a clue W____ C______

seriously though have you testing nitrate and phos? Obviously primary cause of algae.

I may have an impact of the "Alex and the fish food" incident occurring.
Phos and Nitrates are reading as zero but going to try and do a couple of changes next week.
Now I have work sorted, I need to look at an auto water changer or sort out a regime.

You got a job dude? Awesome. Congrats. Bet you'll feel a lot better.

Best thing I did was set a side a friday after work. Do all my testing then strip equipment full clean WC and swap rowa. This regular pattern has made things easier for me and im sure the tank is benefiting.

Yep, got one at last. Phew :)
Well, with the new role comes some order to the chaos no doubt so toke at time doing tasks like tank maintenance will become a lot more regimented.
