    Morning all,

    Rather frustrated this morning as I'm now at work and stuck till 6pm. I asked some friends last night and was advised to leave things and see what happens. However I've come down this morning and there's a tear in the foot and stuff coming from the mouth. It was nicely inflated on Thursday and looked to have a poo on Friday (looked like brown pellets).

    Tank is 8years established just to give extra info.

    Tested the PO4 and Nitrate this morning:
    P04 = 0.5-0.75
    Nitrate 20ppm

    Dont have the ability to test the others myself and I'm stuck at work until 6pm - I feel sick

    would it be an idea to put it in a small pot tonight when I get in so it can't be blown around and so nothing can get at it? Like a small Tupperware pot

    Cheers Pil077 - wounded isnt the word to describe how I feel. Have wish I'd listened to the kids and chose a couple of banggai cardinals instead :(

    No one likes to see anything die in the tank. but its sad. and it will happen. just repeat your po4 reading again 05 to 075?

    nems tend not to recover is the foot has torn/cut. all you can do is hope and id try to put it some where you can reach as they tend to do downhill pretty fast and can cause tank wipe outs if left in there dead.
