    Absolutely love your title

    Stunning Clarki

I wish my split nems were in such an accessible place in my tank like yours are.
    Nice GBTA
How long has your tank been running?

Well i have dropped the light settings down to try and tackle the slight bleaching on the monti and acro, i really want the monti plate colours to pop,

My confusa is nearly on the sand bed and practically white, but the polyps are still extending.

I have my vega coming on at 8 ramping up over 4 hours and then switching off at 6 and ramping down for 4 hours,

    Im running

    White 20%
    Red 30%
    Green 30
    Blue 35%
    Royal 35%
    Deep blue 35%

I also have a growing algae problem i don't know which one it is though any thoughts, ideas how i can get rid? :hi:

That red fluffy algae is a bit of a nightmare, true Mexican snails normally eat it.

I think the problem is my mexican snail is huge! and he can't get up there to eat, so i might need to get some smaller ones.

Going on holiday tommorow for the first time, since i set the tank up, i have a friend comming round everyday with a checklist.

Am still very nervous though lol

On the other hand i have a big problem with coral bleaching at the mo,

    My old settings were

    light 6" from waterline

    Deep blue 55%
    Royal blue 55%
    Blue 55%
    White 35%
    Red 30%
    Green 30%

I have since changed the settings to try and colour back into the tank

Light is now 8" from WL

    Deep blue 40%
    Royal blue 40%
    Blue 40%
    White 20%
    Red 30%
    Green 30%

I am dosing on the FM Bailing lite and the trace elements and im struggling getting the sps colour back, its all very washed out.

The changed lighting should help. Once you have lost some colour it can take a month or two to get it back.

Just got back from my week in Majorca,

    RELIEF lol

No casualties, no signs of any white spot etc.

Just the glass needing cleaning and cheato pruning, other than that i was nervous walking in the room after the week away, leaving it in my neighbours capables.

I too secretly worry about my tank whilst away on holiday, not that I dare let my wife know it as she would call me as I don't worry about the dog whilst I'm away
Good to hear your tanks not suffered
