Marine abbreviations:-

FTS = Full Tank Shot
GHA = Green Hair Algae
FOWLR = Fish Only With Live Rock
CUC = Clean Up Crew
LFS = Local Fish Shop
AWC = Auto Water Changer
SG = Specific Gravity
SPS = Small Polyp Stony corals
LPS = Large Polyp Stony corals
DT = Display Tank
DSB = Deep Sand Bed
MM = Miracle Mud
WS = White Spot
FW = Flat Worm
ATU = Auto Top Up
YT = Yellow Tang
PT = Purple Tang
PBT = Powder Blue Tang
Phos= Phosphate
Cal= Calcium
Mag= Magnesium
RO= Reverse Osmosis (Purified water)
No2= Nitrite
No3= Nitrate
FOWLR= Fish Only With Liverock (A tank with no corals just fish)
AEFW = acropora eating flat worm
GAC = granular activated carbon
GFO = granular ferric oxide (rowaphos)
LPH = litres per hour
GPH = gallons per hour
LR = live rock
RTN = rapid tissue necrosis
STN = slow tissue necrosis
CBBF = copperband butterfly fish
RODI = reverse osmosis de-ionised
HLLE = head and lateral line erosion
TP = tang police
BW = bristle worm
LRHH = liverock hitch hiker
Pred tank -predator tank
Nem-anemone
RSA or RCB- Cyano bacteria
Dinos-Dinoflagettes
Nano- small aquarium
Pico-smaller tank than a nano (Very small)
GSP = green star polyps
Gorgo = gorgonian
Rics = ricordia


Non marine abbreviations:-

OP = Original Poster
IMO = In my opinion
SWMBO = She who must be obeyed
iirc = If I remember correctly
HTH = Hope that helps
TIA = Thanks in Advance
LOL = Laugh Out Loud
LMAO = Laugh My A3se Off
OIC = oh I see
WTF! = are you joking

AFEW - acropora eating flat worm
GAC - granular activated carbon
GFO - granular ferric oxide (rowaphos)
LPH -litres per hour
GPH - gallons per hour
LR - live rock
RTN - rapid tissue necrosis
STN- slow tissue necrosis

Can't think of any more atm I'm affraid
