Was thinking of adding a cheapo led strip this month but thought I might wait for something better quality.

Has anyone on here tried one of these? Thinking of adding a strip above the tank for night time viewing/supplement the halides. Maybe a royal blue/magenta

Or is it fairly easy to DIY the same sort of thing?

They look good on a first glance mate, how do they compare against the tmc ones. Maybe someone who has the tmc ones could add a video.

I see they are state side take into count the postage and there may be customs charges as well mate.

    Hiya,

I've got one of the Stunner Strips sat in between my RSM 130D CF Tubes, its the Actinic Blue colour type.

Cracking little lamp, fully watertight, typical American sturdy build without being anything more tham 20mm wide (roughly).

Voltage isn't an issue as they run off of a transformer, mine is actually powered / controlled thru a channel on one of my TMC Aquaray Power Controllers.

Shipping and Duty / VAT would be added if you import them in, but I was on a business trip over there and it slipped very nicely in a pocket of my Laptop bag!!

I'm just wanting to know if these are better than the cheap ones off ebay, it's a lot to pay if there isn't much difference.

First picture uploads on here, so I'm hoping they come out ok!

Better than Ebay lights? I think when you add up their expected life hours, PAR levels, compatibilty with the Power Controller and their lack of horror stories about melting / burning I'm more than happy with them and would do it again.

As far as I'm aware you can buy on-line from the U.S via Marine Depot or Dr Forsters. (Hope I haven't trod on any rules naming them)?
