When i first started I had some issues with Algea etc like everyone does after cycling their tank... however mine seemed to go on a little longer than i expected.....my RO water was sourced from the local LFS (now gone) ... I decided to get my own RO unit and the difference was obvious... just wish i had done it earlier! no brainer for me .... unless you are on a water meter at home ... then buy one and install it at a family members home that isnt on one!!!! ( After moving into a new build I installed mine in my inlaws :) )

I have had one for years and wouldn't be without it,one of the most important bits of equipment you will need.
